Laurens Elshof, aka LAVERN, is a 23-year-old producer and DJ from the Netherlands. Inspired by his small hometown village near Amsterdam, his music seamlessly blends dance and energetic nightlife vibes with more chill sunset-inspired feelings. In 2021, Lavern started his musical journey with an opening track 'Move Me' that reached more than 35M streams on DSPs and went viral on Instagram reels (760k videos). Release after release, he has cultivated a devoted following of 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, accumulating over 250 million streams, all thanks to his distinctive stutter house sound. His recent hit, 'Hold Me' stands out as a leading track in the stutter house movement, amassing over 80 million streams on DSPs within a span of 7 months, and gaining considerable traction on TikTok and Instagram Reels. Lavern constantly pushes the boundaries of his sound, crafting official remixes for renowned artists like Kygo and Becky G, as well as original releases such as a mesmerizing rendition of "La Leçon Particulière" by Francis Lai, and the intense "Human," released under Martin Garrix' esteemed record label, STMPD RCRDS.

Introduced to EDM music through Avicii's 'True' album, he started producing music on his computer at the age of 13 and quickly after started DJing and organizing his own parties. Before the Lavern project was born in 2021, Laurens honed his DJ and producer skills by regularly performing under his former alias, with his tracks being played by some of the biggest DJs in the world. Fast forward to the present day, Lavern is excited to create music that resonates with his fans and captures the essence of his own electronic music experience. As a producer and DJ, he is just beginning his journey of artistic exploration.
